I've been with After School Plus since...  July, 2006.

Fun Fact:  I had a difficult time learning how to read as a child. I hated school and thought it was stupid, but in the fourth grade, a young teacher spent time with me after school teaching me phonics and other reading techniques along with helping me find books I was interested in. By the end of the fourth grade, I was reading at grade level, loved school, and finally found out that learning could be fun. One teacher can make a major difference in a child's academic life.   

When I'm not at After School Plus...  I enjoy reading crime and action adventure novels. I am also very active with my youth group at my church. I love to fish and to teach children how to fish!  

What I love most about my work at After School Plus...  is spending time with the children. I want children to feel like this is their second home, and so I work hard to provide a safe environment where they feel loved, respected, enjoy learning, and develop responsibility.
